Masa Churro is a decadent, sweet-and-salty treat, flavored with real cinnamon. As always, the chips are made by hand in small batches with only organic (or better) ingredients, and cooked in grass fed tallow.

 


We use Royal Saigon cinnamon, harvested from the Qang Nam mountains in Vietnam. Royal Saigon is a particularly intense and aromatic cinnamon, due to a unique process that protects the essential oils in its bark. Real cinnamon is antibacterial, has proven cognitive benefits, and helps regulate your blood sugar levels.

 


We never use artificial sweeteners or sugar replacements, most of which wreak havoc on your gut and overall health. Instead, we use small amounts of organic, regenerative-farmed sugar. Despite being demonized in recent years, various forms of real sugar have been consumed liberally since ancient times – following our foundational rule of sticking to real food that has been around for centuries (at least). The sea salt in our chips complements the mild sweetness and brings out the rich, delicious flavor of Churro.

 


Try them with homemade, raw ice cream or enjoy them on their own. Even the skeptics among you will be having chips for dessert in no time- and you won’t have to feel guilty about it either. Of course, no high fructose corn syrup, seed oils, or other garbage, ever.

    Not what I expected, but really good!

    For some reason, I was picturing a corn chip dipped in sugar and cinnamon, and so I was wondering if I could still consider these good for me. I also wasn’t sure how I’d like these flavors on a corn chip rather than a flour chip. I was so pleasantly surprised by how good they are! They have great cinnamon flavor and are slightly sweet - just the perfect amount of sweet to feel like a dessert, but not so much that you worry about how much sugar you are ingesting. Each serving is only 2 added grams of sugar! I plan to keep these in my future to satisfy both my sweet tooth and my need for crunch! Thank you, Ancient Crunch, for making good, clean snacks we can feel good about. Please don’t ever stop!

Organic Corn

Nixtamilization

To make tortillas the traditional way, you need to turn corn intomasa harinausing an ancient Central American process called nixtamalization.

Our tortillas are nixtamalized naturally, the same way the Aztecs did it. This makes the corn easier to digest and the nutrients more bio-available.

Grass Fed Tallow

There are many oils you could make chips with, but only one option stands above the rest: grass fed beef tallow.

We use tallow because it's delicious, non-inflammatory and full of fat soluble vitamins. Traditionally used by the best chefs for 100s of years, it is completely natural and unprocessed.

MASA is the first and only tortilla chip fried in beef tallow, and the proof is in the crunch.
