This Healthy Skyline Chili Dip takes all the iconic flavors of Cincinnati-style chili: warm cinnamon, savory garlic, and earthy chili powder, and turns them into a crowd-pleasing appetizer with a better-for-you twist. By skipping the canned chili and making your own seasoned beef base, you get a much cleaner, more flavorful dip without any of the fillers. The secret to the perfect bite is pairing the melty, bubbling cheddar with MASA Chips.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp tomato sauce (or a mix of tomato paste and bone broth)
Heat a large pan over medium heat with a light drizzle of olive oil. Add the ground beef and break it up with a spatula as it cooks.
While the beef is still slightly pink, stir in the tomato sauce and all the dry seasonings (chili powder through cinnamon). Continue to cook and stir until the beef is fully browned and the spices are fragrant.
Transfer the seasoned beef mixture to a pie dish or small oven-safe baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top, making sure to cover the beef completely.
Place the dish in the oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and just starting to bubble.
Remove from the oven and serve warm. Grab a bag of MASA Chips and start scooping!
